In developing the design for new housing units at Blackland Village, we identified three driving concepts, in order of importance: affordability, sustainability, + neighborhood character

While it technically qualifies as a multifamily development, from the street, the project appears as only having two single-family detached units, similar to the existing scale of the neighborhood.
Above all, in keeping with the mission of the Blackland Community Development Corporation of creating diverse, inclusive, affordable communities that fight gentrification, Blackland Village approached the problem of two lots whose land alone cost over half a million dollars with the goal that the solution must be affordable.
